Make Beeches Road Safer Now

🚨 Enough is Enough – Make Beeches Road Safer Now

Beeches Road has a long history of collisions and near-misses. Residents have raised concerns for over a decade, yet Essex County Council continues to dismiss calls for safety improvements—citing narrow definitions and outdated data thresholds.

We believe this approach puts lives at risk.

We, the undersigned, call on Essex County Council to:

  1. Install appropriate traffic calming measures (e.g. improved signage, road narrowing, visibility enhancements).
  2. Review the collision history beyond just the last 3 years to reflect the real-world risks.
  3. Reinstate public access to submit new Local Highway Panel (LHP) scheme requests.
  4. Fund preventative improvements, not just reactive ones.

This isn’t about stats. It’s about people’s safety.
